What is the difference between single wall and double wall paper cups?
A single wall cup has one layer of paperboard and suits cold drinks and hot drinks served with a sleeve. A double wall cup has a second outer layer that insulates, so hot drinks are comfortable to hold without a sleeve.
What sizes do paper cups come in?
4 oz for espresso and samples, 8 oz for small coffees, 12 oz and 16 oz for regular and large drinks, and 20 oz for extra large. Cold cups and ice cream cups follow similar sizes.
Which lid fits which cup?
Lids are matched to the rim diameter. Many 8 oz cups use an 80 mm lid and many 12, 16 and 20 oz cups share a 90 mm lid, but rims vary by maker, so we supply lids made for the cups you order.
What are paper cups lined with?
A thin waterproof lining: polyethylene (PE) is the standard, and PLA is a plant-based alternative. The lining stops the drink soaking into the paperboard.
Are paper cups recyclable or compostable?
PE-lined cups need a recycling facility that accepts lined paper cups. PLA-lined cups are compostable in industrial composting where that service exists. Check what your local facility accepts.
Can you print my logo on paper cups?
Yes, with full-wrap printing in CMYK or spot colours using food-safe inks. White board gives the truest colours; kraft board gives an earthy look.
Are your cups safe for hot drinks?
Yes. They are made from food-grade paperboard with a lining that holds hot liquid. For very hot drinks choose double wall or ripple wall, or add a sleeve to a single wall cup.
Do you supply cup sleeves and ice cream cups?
Yes. We print sleeves that match your cups and make paper cups for ice cream, gelato and frozen yogurt with flat or dome lids.
Is there a minimum order for custom paper cups?
No minimum order. You can order a short run to test a design and reorder the same specification later.
How long do custom paper cups take to make and deliver?
Production takes 7–10 business days after you approve the digital proof, and delivery in the USA takes 3–5 business days with free shipping. Rush production is 5 business days.
